چکیده
abstract tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus are the most important reasons in mortality all over the world. it’s clear that reviewing of relationship between tuberculosis (tb) and diabetes mellitus (dm) is necessary; on the other hand it’s found that fto gene has the positive relationship with metabolic issues. therefore, it’s necessary pay attention to the above and dangerous sicknesses, especially in field of genetic sciences. hence, our purpose is investigation of relationship between polymorphism rs9939609 polymorphism of fto gene, tb and dm. with regards to the findings, it was concluded that there was considerable relationship between fto gene rs9939609 polymorphism and dm and also it was notable development of tb among diabetic people. it can be stated that there is an indirect relationship between fto gene rs9939609 polymorphism and tb sickness.

Diabetic dyslipidemia is one of the leading causes of coronary artery disease (CAD) death. Genetic and environmental factors play an important role in the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and dyslipidemia. The present study was aimed to investigate the association of ACE (rs4646994), FABP2 (rs1799883), MTHFR (rs1801133) and FTO (rs9939609) genetic polymorphism in T2DM with dyslipi...
متن کاملObesity-associated gene FTO rs9939609 polymorphism in relation to the risk of tuberculosis
BACKGROUND Obesity is known to affect cell-mediated immune responses. Recent studies have revealed that genetic polymorphisms in the fat mass and obesity associated (FTO) gene are related to human obesity. We hypothesize that this gene may also play a role in the risk of immune-related infectious diseases such as tuberculosis. METHODS This case-control study included 1625 pulmonary tuberculos...
متن کاملThe FTO Gene rs9939609 Polymorphism Predicts Risk of Cardiovascular Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
OBJECTIVE Genome-wide association studies have shown that variance in the fat mass- and obesity- associated gene (FTO) is associated with risk of obesity in Europeans and Asians. Since obesity is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), several studies have investigated the association between variant in the FTO gene and CVD risk, with inconsistent results. In this stu...

OBJECTIVE To determine the association between overweight/obesity in schoolchildren with FTO rs9939609 polymorphism (fatmass and obesity associated) and family history of obesity. METHODS Cross-sectional study comprising a sample of 406 children aged 7-17 years in a city in southern Brazil. Overweight/obesity in schoolchildren was assessed by body mass index (BMI), and family history of obesi...
